Our Family

Cathy was born in Illinois. She lives in Plano with her husband and her 6 year old daughter Cadence. Cathy has been a Registered Nurse since 1991. She has a strong background specializing in emergency nursing. Cathy has been working in the Long Term Care setting since 2006 as the Administrator here at Elmwood Terrace. Her philosophy is that Elmwood Terrace residents are her #1 priority, by providing a warm environment and a dynamic activity department. Working with her residents, families and employees has always been her passion.

Kimberly “Kim” was born in Chicago. She resides in Aurora with her husband and three children. Kim has been at Elmwood Terrace for over 11 years. She received her LPN from Triton College and her RN from Elgin Community College. Prior to Elmwood Terrace Kim practiced nursing for 15 years at Westchester Health and Alden Valley Ridge. “Elmwood Terrace is so special to me. I truly have the best staff who always put the resident’s needs first. I think that is what sets us apart. I love coming to work every day. My residents and my staff are my second family.”

Dora was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico coming to Chicago when she was just 7 years old. She lives in Plano with her husband and her two children’s Kaiden & Kiana. Dora has been at Elmwood Terrace for over 6 years and has 16 years of great experience in Social Services in the Long Term Care setting. She attended Triton College and also has her certification in dietary management. Dora believes that our activity programs are the Heart of the quality of life for our residents. “It’s an honor to work here at Elmwood. It’s a little home with a big heart; I love my residents and my staff with all my heart!”

Vince has been at Elmwood Terrace for over 10 years. Born in Morris, he has been practicing culinary arts for over 30 years. An avid outdoorsmen, he looks forward to coming to work every day. His favorite thing to do for our residents is baking. His Irish Soda Bread is one of their favorites. “I look forward to getting here every day and providing delicious and notorious meals for my residents!”

Brian has been at Elmwood Terrace since 2016. He is married and has a beautiful puppy called Milton. He has 11 years’ experience in the Healthcare industry. Brian has all the guidance, experience and problem solving skills needed when it comes to helping families with the financial aspect of our community. Whether it’s with Medicare or Medicaid. Brian will explain and guide you through the process in an eaily understandable fashion.

Albert has been at Elmwood Terrace since February 2019. He is our New Environmental Services Director. He is married with 3 beautiful children’s and lives in Batavia IL. In his leisure time he likes fishing and camping.  His passion is talking to and helping our residents with any maintenance issues. His team philosophy “We work hard every day for our residents and their families!”
